How To: Get Your Horse Show Ready with PetnPony!
Are you and your four-legged friend getting ready to step into the spotlight at an upcoming horse show? It's an exciting time, but it comes with its fair share of preparation. Whether you're a seasoned equestrian or a newcomer to the show ring, ensuring that your horse is in peak condition and ready to shine is paramount.
That's where we come in! In our latest blog post, we've curated the ultimate guide to help you get your equine companion show-ready. We understand the dedication and passion that goes into preparing for a horse show, and we're here to make the journey smoother for both you and your horse.
From must-have products that will enhance your horse's appearance and performance to handy tips on training and grooming, we've got you covered.
1. Bathing Time

Bathing your horse before a show is crucial to remove any dirt, grease or grass stains that may affect your horse’s comfort, performance and turnout!
To do this, we suggest using the Gallop Colour Enhancing Shampoos which are uniquely formulated luxury shampoos available for every colour of horse. The shampoos use colour enhancers and optical brighteners to intensify the natural coat colour to a showring standard.

2. Use Whitening Products (if necessary)
Does your horse have white patches that require extra attention? If so, NAF Brighter Than White is the product for you!
Using water, apply this paste the night before a show and bandage whilst wet. Using dry, take a slightly damp brush and apply to the legs.
3. Mane (and Tail) Event

When showing, immaculate presentation is a must from mane to hoof! We recommend a three-product regime:
Firstly, use Gallop Conditioning Shampoo to lather the mane and tail.
This shampoo is designed to remove dirt, sweat and grease in a low foaming formula.

Next, apply NAF Its So Silky Serum to the mane or tail and work through with fingers to ease out the knots.
Brush or comb through for a tangle free finish.

Finally, NAF Plait It Up is the perfect tool to keep wisps and strays at bay when plaiting for a show.
Simply brush, section and spray the mane for the perfect result every time!
4. Coat of Dreams
Upon arrival at a show, use Carr & Day & Martin’s Dreamcoat to produce the ultimate high gloss, non-greasy finish.

Spray a fine mist over your horse and brush to achieve a dazzling shine!
5. Polished to Perfection

Finally, put your best hoof forward with NAF Paint It Clear Polish, a quick drying paint-on hoof polish for elegant shining and show-ready hooves every time.
