2 months ago for #Weatherbeetober, we held a competition to win a Weatherbeeta Comfitec Ultra Tough Turnout, and the lucky winner was Sarah Taylor and her adorable horse DJ. We wondered if DJ was enjoying his rug and how warm it was keeping him throughout the Winter months, so we asked her for a small review on the rug she won based on her and DJ's experiences and this is what she said:
"Overall, this is a superb top quality rug with some great features: - It’s a generous fit. I often struggle to find a rug with sufficient shoulder room for DJ’s big shoulder and front. Plenty of room and a silky lining - no shoulder rubs at all - The neck cover is roomy and is very easy to take on and off. It has easy to use Velcro fittings and even fastens to the rug itself on the front of the shoulders meaning a snug fit without the gap you often get with other rugs. - Super strong outer material. My horse winters out and the rug has never leaked or been damp on the inside. The rug has good quality buckles and fastenings. - Reflective strips on the front make it easy to find your horse in the field by the light of a head torch. This rug is worn by my fully clipped Welsh Cob who winters out on the top of a hill! So far he has been warm and snug throughout the coldest of weather wearing just this rug. Full marks and highly recommended!"
